Core bracing

In Review

Stiffening the trunk so the spine does not move when something tries to move it. The abdominal wall, the deep back muscles, the diaphragm above and the pelvic floor below all switch on together to make a rigid cylinder. Good looks like: a firm 360-degree tension all the way round the waist, breathing that continues normally underneath it, ribs stacked over the pelvis, and no sucking in or bearing down. Bracing produces no movement — it is what lets everything else move safely.
