Nervous system downregulation

In Review

Being able to come down — to let the tissue actually let go rather than idling in a gear you cannot shift out of. Tone is supposed to rise for effort and fall afterwards; when it stops falling, the muscles never fully release, sleep gets broken, and the recovery that would have resolved the problem is exactly what you do not get. Good looks like: a body that settles when the demand stops — breathing slowing and dropping low into the trunk, shoulders coming down, sleep arriving and staying. It is a skill and it can be trained, which is why it is treated here as a movement failure like any other rather than as a mood.
