In Review

The elbow is a hinge between the humerus and the two forearm bones, with a second small joint alongside it that lets the forearm rotate palm-up and palm-down. The bony bumps on either side are where the forearm's flexor and extensor tendons all converge, which is why so much elbow pain is really tendon pain. People come to a therapist for the elbow because of pain on the outside or inside of the joint with gripping, aching after repetitive work or racquet sports, and loss of full straightening or bending.
