Shoulder external rotation

In Review

Turning the upper arm outward so the forearm swings away from the belly. Infraspinatus and teres minor do the work, and in doing so they also pull the head of the humerus back and down in the socket — which is why external rotation strength matters far beyond the movement itself. Good looks like: the elbow staying tucked at the side, the forearm rotating out under control, and no arching of the back or shrugging to help.
