Gripping
In Review
Closing the hand around an object and holding it. The long finger flexors in the forearm curl the fingers — but the wrist extensors have to contract just as hard to stop the wrist folding as they do, which is why a strong grip is really a forearm-wide effort. Good looks like: a firm hold with the wrist roughly straight and the shoulder and neck staying relaxed. That hidden extensor demand is the reason gripping loads the outer elbow, and why grip-heavy work shows up as elbow pain rather than hand pain.
