Postural endurance
In Review
Being able to hold yourself upright for as long as the day asks — not being able to sit up straight for thirty seconds when someone is watching. Almost nobody with desk pain is unable to produce a good position; they are unable to keep producing it at hour six. Good looks like: the ribs stacked over the pelvis and the head over the ribs, held without thinking about it and without a slow slide into a slump by mid-afternoon. When the postural muscles run out, the position is given up and something else holds you up instead — which is why the ache lands in the neck and shoulders and comes back every afternoon rather than staying away.
