Musculus procerus

A small wedge of muscle over the bridge of the nose, running upward from the nasal bone into the skin between the eyebrows, where it is continuous with the forehead muscle above. It pulls the inner ends of the eyebrows down and creases the skin over the bridge of the nose horizontally — the scowl, and the wrinkling that goes with distaste or squinting into bright light. Together with the corrugator and the brow depressor it forms the small brow-lowering group between the eyebrows, all three of them pulling against the forehead muscle that lifts the same skin.
