Quadriceps tendon

Tendo musculi quadricipitis femoris

The broad tendon where all four quadriceps muscles converge and attach to the top of the kneecap. It is the upper half of the knee extensor mechanism — the quadriceps tendon pulls on the kneecap from above, the patellar tendon carries that force onward to the shin below.
