Spiral Line
In Review
A conceptual model, not a proven anatomical structure. The Spiral Line is described as winding around the body in a helix — from the side of the skull across the upper back to the opposite shoulder, around the ribs and abdomen to the opposite hip, then down the outside of the thigh, under the arch of the foot and back up the calf to the sitting bone. It is the line clinicians reach for when explaining rotational sport, cross-body movement and why one shoulder and the opposite hip so often show up in the same complaint. A reasoning framework, not established anatomy.
