Neer impingement test
In Review
A passive shoulder test for impingement. Holding the shoulder blade still and sweeping the inward-rotated arm up overhead squeezes the rotator-cuff tendons and bursa against the underside of the acromion — the bony roof of the shoulder. Pain through that arc suggests the structures in that space are the source of symptoms.
