Flexor carpi radialis

Musculus flexor carpi radialis

One of the two main wrist flexors, running down the thumb side of the front of the forearm. It bends the wrist and tips the hand toward the thumb, and it works constantly during gripping — every time the fingers curl, something has to control the wrist. Its tendon is the landmark of the front of the wrist: the pulse of the radial artery is found in the hollow just lateral to it. It comes off the shared flexor tendon at the inner elbow, the tissue behind what is popularly called golfer's elbow.
