Anterior drawer test (knee)

A second hands-on test of the anterior cruciate ligament, done with the knee bent to a right angle. The examiner pulls the shin forward like opening a drawer; because the ACL is the main restraint to that movement, extra travel points to it. It is usually paired with the Lachman test, which many examiners find more reliable in a freshly injured, guarded knee.
