Inferior cluneal nerves

Nervi clunium inferiores

The lowest of the three buttock skin nerves, and the only ones that arrive from below. They are branches of the posterior femoral cutaneous nerve — a nerve of the back of the thigh — which curl upwards round the lower border of gluteus maximus to reach the skin of the lower buttock and the gluteal fold. They supply the part of the buttock a person actually sits on. Their parent nerve has no entity in this graph yet, so their listed relation is to the sacral plexus that both belong to.
