Deep Front Line

In Review

A conceptual model, not a proven anatomical structure. The Deep Front Line is described as the body's core column — from deep under the arch of the foot, up the inside of the leg through the adductors, into the pelvic floor, psoas and diaphragm, and on up the front of the spine to the jaw. In the model it is where breathing, the deep core and posture meet, which is why clinicians use it to connect the diaphragm with the hips and the arch of the foot. It is a way of organising treatment, not an anatomical fact — do not present it to a patient as established.
