Inferior angle of the scapula

Angulus inferior scapulae

The inferior angle is the bottom point of the shoulder blade, and the easiest part of it to find with a hand. It is the part that swings outwards and upwards as the blade rotates to let the arm travel overhead, which makes it the landmark for watching how a shoulder blade moves. The teres major takes origin from it, and some fibres of the latissimus dorsi slip across it on their way to the arm.
