Lateral cuneiform
Os cuneiforme laterale
In Review
The middle-sized cuneiform, lying between the intermediate cuneiform on its inner side and the cuboid on its outer, with the navicular behind and the third metatarsal in front. It is the busiest of the three, articulating with more neighbours than either — including the sides of the second and fourth metatarsal bases as well as the third it carries. Like the intermediate cuneiform it is broad on top and narrow beneath.
