Medial collateral ligament
Ligamentum collaterale tibiale

A broad flat ligament on the inner side of the knee that resists the knee buckling inward. Unlike the cruciates it has a good blood supply and a strong tendency to heal, which is why many MCL sprains are managed without surgery.
